This is a flexible online course is designed to fit into your schedule, taking approximately six hours to complete, with a knowledge check quiz at the end.

With chickens now the sixth most popular pet in the UK, it is essential to understand common diseases and illnesses, what you can manage at home, and when veterinary care is needed.

Whether you are new to chicken keeping, considering rehoming or buying, or working with chickens professionally, this course will provide knowledge to general chicken health.

You will gain knowledge in:

• Performing health checks
• Recognising early signs of respiratory, reproductive, and digestive diseases and illnesses
• Managing common parasites such as mites, lice, and worms.
• Essential first aid supplies for chickens.
• Effective prevention and treatment strategies to maintain a clean and safe environment.

By the end, you will feel more confident in identifying and addressing health concerns, ensuring the well-being of your chickens while reducing the risk of disease.

To complete the course and gain your certificate, there is a knowledge Check Quiz at the end. You can take the Knowledge Check Quiz as many times as required.
