Increasingly the term animal welfare gets used in a variety of contexts, however its meaning can be different for different people. This may be due to culture, experience, societal influence or many other reasons but ultimately drives how we perceive and keep our animals. This level 4 course is designed to give students an insight into equine welfare from the perspective of the horse, the challenges it poses and the various considerations that should be taken into account when managing and keeping horses.
