College Event Highlights Career Opportunities

Students looking into their next educational steps can discover the incredible facilities and wide range of courses at Bicton College’s upcoming open event.

The College is opening its doors to prospective students on Saturday 20th January between 10am and 12pm, where everyone is welcome to explore the facilities and ask questions about full-time study and apprenticeship options.

Friendly and knowledgeable advisors will be on hand on the day to offer insights on all aspects of college life including courses, transport and learning support.

Head of Campus, Darren Evans, described the event as “the perfect opportunity to explore the broad range of exciting courses on offer.”

“Whether you’re embarking on a new academic journey or considering a career change, this event is designed to help you explore and navigate the possibilities,” Darren explained.

“Myself and the dedicated team at Bicton College are here to guide you every step of the way in finding your own unique path. The Open Event on January 20th promises to be an engaging and informative experience, providing you with valuable insights into our courses, facilities and the supportive community that defines Bicton College. I look forward to seeing you there.”

Bicton College boasts an impressive range of facilities and partnerships. These include an extensive equine yard and arena, a partnership with world-class Bicton Arena, a brand-new groundworks area, an animal management centre with commercial zoo licence, a working farm and animal husbandry school, a walled garden and arboretum and well-equipped military & protective services areas, all nestled in 200 hectares of historic parkland.

The campus also provides onsite accommodation for a mixture of further education and higher education students.

The further education course offering at Bicton College includes arboriculture, agriculture, animal management, construction, equine, land-based engineering, land & conservation and military & protective services; as well as higher education and adult leisure courses.
