Course information

Success with propagation Taking cuttings is one good way to propagate a wide range of your plants. There are a number of other methods including: layering, suckers and division. Learn how to improve your success rates by propagating a range of plants. Discuss the selection of plant material for propagation purposes. Also, the control of common pests and diseases as well as propagation equipment. This course is recommended for anyone who is interested in growing new plants from cuttings particularly ornamentals.

If you are a new gardener or working in the industry this is an opportunity to improve your propagation skills.

You will learn about cutting techniques for a range of plants as well as using propagation equipment and creating a good propagation environment and solving problems. This is a one day practical course will give you the opportunity to propagate a range of plants in the Bicton walled garden and glasshouse.
