Emergency First Aid at Work
This qualification is specifically for those individuals who are to become an emergency first-aider in the workplace. You will be taught how to deal with emergency first aid incidents which includes CPR, AED, Shock, Chocking, Bleeds and Burns. This one-day qualification meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
What you will learn
The qualification covers knowledge such as the roles and responsibilities of the first aider and how to assess an incident. First aid skills in CPR and use of an AED, providing first aid to a casualty who is choking and dealing with external bleeding and hypovolaemic shock.
Assessment
You will be assessed via practical demonstrations and a multiple-choice exam.
Progression
Follow on courses include Health and Safety, COSHH, Manual Handling, Mental Health Awareness IOSH and Site Supervisor/Manager
