You will study a range of modules which will give you an insight into a career in the Military and Emergency Services. You will also receive support in Maths and English to help you improve your GCSE Grades. This course will build your confidence, teamwork, communication, self-belief as well as physical and mental resilience. You will wear a uniform a become part of our ‘Tribe’ where you can thrive. Physical Fitness, Sports, Outdoor Adventure, Career Skills, First Aid and regular exposure to Armed Forces and Emergency Services will ensure you are ready to progress onto our Level 2 programme and ultimately one step closer to starting an exciting career in the uniformed services.

Entry requirements

You will need GCSE Grade 2 in both English and Maths or relevant Functional Skills

Assessment

Assessment is progressive throughout the programme using a range of practical skills, posters, presentations and workbooks. Feedback will enable you to improve your grades. There are no final exams.

Progression

On completion you will be ready to progress onto our Level 2 Diploma and one step closer to your dream career.

Bicton College

Bicton College is based in East Devon, near Exeter, and set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just two miles from the Jurassic Coast. The historic Georgian mansion, commercial farm, animal husbandry school, modern veterinary nursing building, world-class engineering and heavy plant machinery workshop, walled garden and arboretum are all set in over 200 hectares of historic parkland.
